DAISY’S FAVOURITE FRENCH TOAST

We could all do with a mate that looks at us like Daisy looks at her favourite French Toast recipe. The secret ingredient? Our light and fluffy Milk Loaf.

Perfect for slow Sunday mornings and school holiday treats, it’s a super fun breakfast for the kiddos - okay, and the parents too (guilty!).

JENGA FRENCH TOAST
Serves 4-5 little people or one very hungry papa bear

GATHER YOUR GOODS

1x loaf of Grizzly Baked Goods Milk Loaf
1 Cup Whole milk
3 Large free-range eggs
1 Tbsp caster sugar

Butter for pan

1/2 Cup caster sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon

MAKE IT

Whisk milk, eggs, and sugar until combined
Cut Milk Loaf into inch thick slices, then cut each slice into inch thick strips.
Preheat cast iron frying pan to med-hot
Dunk each strip of bread in eggy mixture briefly, but make sure all sides are coated
Drop a tablespoon of butter into the pan and let bubble.
Fry 6-8 strips at a time for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown, making sure all sides get cooked
In a large bowl mix remaining sugar and cinnamon
Take the strips from the pan and drop them straight into the sugar mix and quickly toss to cover them in the good stuff
Stack the strips in rows of 3, alternating the direction for each layer - jenga style

Serve the full stack to your kids piled up on a single plate to blow their minds

Hat tip to Sun Dog Diner for the Jenga-style serving suggestion!
